Scholarships and EMI: Read the Terms Before You Apply
Understand eligibility, payment schedules and written terms before depending on an education benefit.
A scholarship percentage is meaningful only when you know the fee amount to which it applies. Ask whether the benefit covers the full program, one semester, tuition only or another component. Confirm academic, income, admission-date and document requirements.
For EMI, identify the provider, repayment term, processing fee, interest or no-cost conditions and what happens if a payment is delayed. Semester-wise university payments and third-party financing are different arrangements.
Request current written terms before making a decision. Keep a copy of the approved benefit and payment schedule, and avoid treating a verbal estimate as final confirmation.
